UNITA - Universitas Montium alliance aims to respond to societal challenges and train its students and faculty and staff to function as European and global citizens strongly committed to the UN's sustainable development goals and the “European Green Deal”, aware of cultural and linguistic diversity and the challenges faced by rural and mountain territories.
In UNITA 2.0 project, UBI (UBImedical) co-leads Task 4.1 - Inter-territorial interfaces for innovation, which aims to strengthen collaboration among universities, public institutions, industries, and civil society within the UNITA alliance to enhance smart specialization strategies. It builds on previous projects (InnoUNITA and U-night) and connects with other initiatives to foster innovation. Key activities include mapping regional innovation ecosystems, expanding the entrepreneurship network, linking education with industry through upskilling and internships, creating a technology transfer network, and enhancing science dissemination. These efforts align universities with regional needs, promoting innovation and long-term sustainability across UNITA regions.
