The European Radon Day will be celebrated on November 7th. LabExpoRad – Laboratory of Radon Exposure Effects will hold several activities at UBImedical dedicated to celebrating this day.
With around 80 people expected to attend, the European Radon Day at UBImedical will address the risks associated with radon and include a visit to LabExpoRad, to learn how the laboratory that studies the effects of radon exposure works. Finally, several interactive activities and games will engage participants in instructional and educational activities that will provide a more in-depth approach to what radon is.
European Radon Day is celebrated annually and aims to raise awareness of the risks of radon gas, a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can accumulate inside buildings and be harmful to health. The date was established by the European Radon Association (ERA) to promote better understanding of this hazard.
