The INNOCUP pitch competition took place last June 7th, at UBImedical’s auditorium. INNOCUP is a seed capital program that aims to support entrepreneurial teams who want to settle at UBImedical, rewarding innovative projects. This seed capital is an integral part of the INNOUNITA project – Innovation Capacity Building in UNITA.
With 13 teams in the competition, 8 teams made their pitch before a jury composed of Professor Doutor José Páscoa, Vice-Rector of UBI and director of UBImedical, Dr. António Aragão, IP & Innovation Consultant at RCF – Protecting Innovation and Dr. Gonçalo Marques, CEO of M2k Consultoria.
The winning teams were HepaDerm, which aims to create an innovative method for administering heparin, and Sensodream, which developed a pillow with artificial intelligence that is an innovative solution in the fight against snoring.
Each of the two winning teams will receive 5.000€ prize money, 1 year of free incubation at UBImedical, and entrance into UBImedical’s acceleration program.
