INNOCUP 2025 ended last Friday, 12 December, with Pitch Day, where the competing teams had the opportunity to present their business ideas to a jury.
INNOCUP 2025, UBImedical’s seed capital competition, awards €5,000 and one year of incubation at UBImedical to the two best teams in the competition.
This year, the competition also included four boot camps where teams had the chance to refine their ideas and market positioning, working on their value proposition and establishing their pitch to be presented on Pitch Day. In a year that saw a record number of teams registered, 10 teams made it to Pitch Day to present their business ideas to the jury composed of Prof. Sílvia Socorro, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and Development at UBI and Director of UBImedical, Prof. Pedro Inácio, Vice-Rector for Digital Strategy, Information Management and Human Resources at UBI, and Prof. Vasco Lopes, CEO of DeepNeuronic and Visiting Assistant Professor at UBI. In the end, the teams Alphaer (which is developing, building, certifying and selling a fixed-wing transport drone) and Prepalyze (a solution that aims to automatically validate preparation, reduce errors and improve health literacy) were the winners.
